I have been always fascinated by Czech born painter, illustrator and graphic artist, Alphonse Mucha, who was living in Paris during the Art Nouveau period, and is best known for his distinctly stylised and decorative theatrical posters, particularly those of Sarah Bernhardt.

In this photo shoot I styled soft and seamless fabrics on my model, in combination with flowers and other organic elements - especially in the hair styling.

These portraits have four different filters which reflect the colours of an iris as well as the predominant colours one can see in Mucha's artworks.

Iris takes its name from the Greek word for a rainbow, which is also the name for the Greek goddess of the rainbow, Iris.
