Ball at Lancaster House

One fine evening, a refined group of guests gathered for a ball at Lancaster House. The grand mansion in the embrace of St James’s Palace glowed to receive them, and this unforgettable event entered its guests into a long history of royal festivities. As the producer and designer of the night, it was my personal pleasure to bring this night to life for every invitee.


Richard Hilliard danced with one of the lucky Chinese ladies.



Co-hosting the event with my friend Richard Hilliard, we opened the door to a world of timeless elegance, offering my clients the unique opportunity to become members of the world of London’s high society, mingling with and getting to know royalty and members of the aristocracy like Princess Olga Romanoff and Ella Mountbatten. The evening sparkled with good conversation, high fashion, impeccable etiquette, and the effortless glamour of people having a good time.

With my hand to guide you through some of the most exclusive locales in London and the education I can provide you in style and fashion, you could shine at the heart of such a night. It will be my pleasure to show you the way.

A Royal Debut


Grace Chen’s European takeover could not have reached more dizzying heights than the special night when Princess Olga Romanoff made her debut as a model to wear a dress designed especially for her. It was my pleasure to introduce her to this bold, fresh designer, and by contributing my own research into the history of the Romanoff family and the personal background of the Princess, I helped to assist Grace Chen in her design of the dress.

The dress itself was designed in Grace’s studios in Shanghai, and the final fitting took place with her team in London. As part of a collaboration with the venerable jewellers Garrard of London, the Princess scintillated in a dress designed exclusively for her by one of fashion’s freshest names. I take pride in the personal touch that I bring to personal styling, and I was pleased to be able to introduce Grace to the Princess in such a transformative event.


Stares on Stairs


The designs of Grace Chen reached new heights in a world of dark, seductive glamour in this photoshoot in Lancaster House.


These photos were used in fashion media worldwide, showcasing Grace Chen as a bold name in Chinese fashion with all the skill and elegance that it takes to expand her horizons and conquer the European market.

My experience and connections with London’s fashion world made this event a seamless success, especially when I cast the models for the shoot, but it was Grace Chen’s designs that commanded attention in the fashion magazines of the world.
